On Sunday afternoon by girlfriend and I along with several friends went over to Deception Pass for a relaxing afternoon.

I got several pictures of a Kingfisher. They are not that great, as it was at the bottom of a cliff from where I was so it was a long, long distance from me. I also got a few captures of a Great Blue Heron while he was fishing, and attempting to find some solitude!

5 - Not exactly wildlife, but I wanted to show the type of terrain where we were!

Yeah! Lol, this is the first capture of a KF that I was able to get close enough to actually be able to identify it as more than a black speck! rolleyes1.gif

You must have good eyes. Kind of hard to tell from that far away what was flying past. eek7.gifD

The 3rd shot turned out nice as did the last image. The others. headscratch.gif

LoL, really? Maybe I am mistaken, but I am pretty sure that is a KF! If I am mistaken then I blame it on my lack of bird identification, not on how far away it was! I thought it looked fairly obvious that it was a KF.

I wasn't going for sales worthy images in these shots. We were out doing some hiking and I happened upon a couple of opportunities for some shots.
