Here's a nightime shot from the popular Kerry Park viewpoint. I added the moon in PS from an exposure taken that same night but with a longer lens. Comments welcomed.

Cheers,

Erich

I do like this for some reason. I'm more of a mountains and trees kind of guy, but this is nice. At first that moon really amazed me until I read your post! Nice job! thumb.gif

I like it! Nicely done. Why do I get the sense that the moon should be to the right of the "needle"?

Really nice . . . it's so hard to not blow out those highlights on a night shot - the color and tonal variations on the needle are really nice. Is this a single shot or "stacked" shot?

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Very nice cosmpolitan night scene. The moon looks "surreal". I think it is great just the way it is.

    Thanks for the comments everyone!
This was a 6 sec exposure at f/8 ISO 100. Single shot with 17-40 mm f/4L lens. I then took the picture of the moon with a telephoto lens and pasted into this shot.

I can see why you may want the moon to be on the right. At first that's where I thought it would look good. But when I did it the image seemed out of balance with too much empty space on the left.

    Cheers,

    Erich
