Even though it was cold and windy and the light was unfriendly, it made for some pretty great shadows today -



Plus I like how the light hits the trees farther in.

sorry, since you asked..not doing a thing for me. there is nothing anchoring the shot, tonal variety is lacking, no colors to grab me, no delicious sky, no interesting lines.

the opinion of a wedding photographer notwithstanding, this has potential. there's a bit too much foreground, perhaps... have you considered cropping the bottom half off and making a horizontal format image out of it? i think that might help... and since there isn't a lot of color anyway (funny how that happens in the winter in the woods...), maybe a B&W conversion, as Schmoo suggested?
