i don't think that there's any doubt here about how much encouragement goes on regarding the challenges. but what you don't understand, is that running the challenges and managing the challenge threads is a a big deal and takes a lot of time. furthermore, i've asked repeatedly and also made it sticky that there be no comments in the challenge thread, no comments about anything. it makes it much harder for the judges to sort through the challenge thread when the time comes. you may post to your heart's content in the challenge forum, though, and that's why i've split out your post into a new thread.
