Monk in Myanmar

This monk was studying in his poorly lit abode and the mid afternoon rays shimmered thru' the adjacent doorway dispensed just enough lights to the subject. It was almost a magical moment.

    I really want to love this photo but my eye is drawn away from the subject. The monk is just too much in shadow and the left side is just too bright. If you can pull out a little more detail in his face and tone down the left side and the page a bit, I think you have a winner here. Comp and crop is perfect.

    What a rim light. I would crop it alot tighter and get rid of the left side. I feel that would make the monk really stand out. Very nice catch.
