Need help with a troublemaking layered Photoshop template

I have a film strip background for Photoshop, which was used in creating the below image. The film strip is for 3 frames in a row, and has layers for Fuji or for Kodak. Its the best I've found yet, and I got this many many years ago. But there are problems with it. The biggie is if you move the group, for some reason, a few layers refuse to move. And I can't seem to move them manually. Also if you duplicate the group a few layers that used to be off turn on. Very odd behavior. Can't figure out how to fix it either. So it makes doing the below image, where I duplicate the film strip, tedious.
If any Photoshop gurus have any ideas I could send you the original 3-strip layered Photoshop file for a gander. Would probably have to be done via FTP or Drop Box.
--OR-- if anyone knows of a better starting template...
Thanks!
