These are some old signs in the Vegas boneyard. I got to go there for a photography competition, does anyone know of VICA or Skills USA? It was exciting and I like how these turned out. All comments welcome. (btw I got second place in that competition:D )

Cool. I like the colors and the perspective. Not sure about the banding in the sky on the first one. You got anything wider? Just curious what the whole place looks like...

well it was a lot of different tests that we had so there was no single shot that was judged, we had that field shoot and then we had a little fix up of a picture they provided in photoshop and then we had to put together a little portfolio and then have 2 8x10 or 11x14 mounted to show, and then we had an interview with the judges, kind of like a job interview (very nerve wracking). oh and a studio shoot. it was a pretty intense competition. i lost to a pimply face kiss ass. he didn't seem very creative, he just new a lot of the technical stuff. and i guess ass kissing will get you farther than i realize...haha.

Haha. That sounds like too much work for me. How long did you have to complete all the above? Was it a multiple day event?

well the first day was the opening ceremony and then we had to take some dumb written test about skills usa, then the second day we did all that and we were there from i think 6 in the am until around 3 in the afternoon, i was rather hungry after all that. it was crazy, but a lot of fun (after it was all over haha)

These are really neat and creative shots....Too often I don't see the shots that were there till I get home and realized what I missed or could have done differently......Looks like you didn't have that problem..................Mereimage
