    ira, Ive always noticed their weblike feet and their color. The common coot is unusual for sure. Nice job on the exposure.

    Nice capture, it may be common in Melbourne Florida but it is certainly not here in Melbourne Australia although it is very similar to one of our common wading birds in build and colour.
