Monarch

I have given up trying to capture a Monarch with my 100mm macro. I can never get nearly close enough to them. Maybe I emit some kind of anti-butterfly hormone or something, who knows.

    lol yea it's a shame when your subject doesn't stay still long enough for you to get the picture. maybe if you have a really long zoom lens or telephoto then you can get closer without having to physically get closer, you know? it still looks good though. good jobthumb.gif

    Thanks Prity. The 70-200 that this was taken with is my longest lens, plus I just got a 1.4x TC for it. The problem with it is the minimum focusing distance. This shot was the closest I could get while being able to focus. I'm entertaining the thought of getting a close up lens for the 70-200 but they are a couple hundred bucks that I don't want to spend right now. Thanks for looking:D and the comment
