I think you need to either go color or do a little more darkening on the tattoos. They just seem to turn very grey. Nice shot although the people in the lower right are much less pronounced in the B&W I would still consider taking them out entirely. I do like that it is not the cliche shot.

That dude is boring without his red hair. I say, leave it color.

Color... BUT... I took some liberties and made it just a little grungier. Hope you don't mind.

B&W is neat and so is the re-edit of the color. How about some Lucis or Topaz?

Great shot! Grunge edit treatment gets my vote. Gives it the edge that goes with the subject matter.

Before I saw the grunge edit I was going to say b&w - there's more emotion and I don't think you need the red hair to relay the message. What did it for me was the movement of his hair. I still like the b&w, but I also like the grunge. I would crop out the other 2 players if you're going with the color. To me they're distracting. They aren't as obvious in b&w.

    Color and the grunge version.

I thought so too minus the contrast in the hair in b/w.

I was shooting in a DARK room. Sonar baltimore is... imagine a room lit by half a dozen par 30 cans that fits about 150 people standing. :D

An assistant with a second light would have been nice but with no room to move, an SB600 with Softbox III had to do...

I don't know how long he and the other guys have had the tattoos but they're certainly not fresh :P

    Thanks :D
