Sharing with new Be Social options via Facebook bug

Hi there! I am Sharing via the new Be Social to facebook. The link appears on my facebook page just fine as does the thumbnail image, but there is NO share button. The only options are Like - Comment - See More Photos. Why no share button???????

Hi, that is exactly what should appear on your Facebook page The "Share" button is something that is in your gallery on SmugMug.

Hmmmmm okay. I was wondering because usually when you post things to facebook people get the option to share the things you post right there under the link, photo, whatever. Maybe consider adding this share option that appears under most links that get posted to facebook. Thanks!

Hi, we don't control this, Facebook does.

The Facebook 'share' link appears under the photos I have posted via Be Social, but they appear on the Facebook page not your Smugmug page.

Is there anyway to see who is hitting the facebook like button? I have images with the little "exponent" showing it has been liked on facebook, but I am curious to see who is liking them, where they are appearing on facebook, and how they are being interacted with... Is their even a way to see your total facebook likes?

I noticed this too.. If I manually share a link or post one on Facebook, you get the option on Facebook for others to share the same post/link.. if you do the same link via the Smug be social, there's no option for others to share it from Facebook. I was looking forward to using the new ability to post as my fan page directly from Smug, but it appears Facebook has a bug with using that interface.. I've haven't ever seen before where you could not share a post. I usually post first to my fan page, and then simply share that post to my personal page. Likewise others on my fan page had the option of sharing it to their personal page, which would draw people in there groups both to my fan page and to my Smug site.

As Andy said, it's a Facebook issue, hopefully they fix it at some point.. until then I'll just use the original method of manually posting links.
