Always amazes me how I can get two totally different photographs on the same day around the same time near the same place. I love Colorado.

You're right - two very different shots but I like them both! The first has a soft calmness to it that I like. The second is a well executed miniature-effect shot. The photo borders add to the nostalgic feel as well. Was the blurring in post-processing or did you use a tilt-shift lens or lensbaby at the time of the shot?

    Thanks for the feedback.

On the Ice Fishing picture, I did the focus effect in post (OnOne Focal Point). When I took the shot I kind of knew I was going to do that. It's the first time I've used the effect, and I'm excited to do it more.
