Northern Pygmy Owl?

I was trying to sneak up on some tiny song birds this afternoon and saw this guy/gal swoop in and try and get one of the little birds. I was able to get a shot of it in the tree after a bit. I wasn't able to get a very well lit shot, but it's somewhat unique, at least for me, so I thought it was worth sharing. I think it's a Northern Pygmy Owl, but someone else may know better.

I guess you could say I used Autofocus assist :. I tend to use center point autofocus to get me close, then manual focus watching the eyes of the bird. Then click when I see those eyes as sharp as possible.

I apologize to those of you who are sick of seeing this bird, or not interested in LAB adjustments. But after re-adjusting my quail I went back to this image and took the a and b channels another 10 points (so 20 all together) and I really do think it helps the image, although I considered making a mask to only adjust the bird as the blue in the sky may be a little too blue.

Any thoughts?
