Facebook Page Suggestions
I'm in the process of putting together my Facebook fan page. I would love to get suggestions from anyone who has done this before. Let me know what works and what doesn't. http://www.facebook.com/#!/KristeenMariePhotography
Thanks in advance!

Keep the photos fresh and interesting. Try to engage your fan base with new content, which will encourage them to come back and tell others about you.

I just read a blog about this subject. Here is a link.
Good luck

Your page looks great, given me lots of inspiration as my page is quite new and I'm only recently starting to get much out of it.
How did you make your profile pic like that? What are the dimensions?
Looks like it's 180 x 533. Facebook allows profile photos to be at a ratio of 1 x 3 and still work, and if you don't want it to be resized by facebook and therefore reduced in quality, I'd make it exactly that pixel size.

Thanks for the resource. I really like your FB page!

Hmmm, it won't work for me. That's nothing new. I just made a very tall image, at your specs, with my logo. It won't show anything but the logo part. I set the new image as my profile image. Still just a horrizontal standard size. Not the tall tall version. I don't know what else to do to it. Sometimes I hate fb.
UPDATE: After trying it for the 4th time, it actually took. Why not the first time? Come on FB!

Nice. Did you just use HTML to add the hotspots (linked spots) on the image?

I used pagemodo to make the landing page, and you can make some of those linked spots clickable if desired. Their site is really easy to create a nice looking easy to deploy landing page

Oooo I really like this idea!! I think I might have to do something similar... I used to have 700+ fans on my old page and I'm only back up to 260~ now after having had this new page / name up since the end of last year (and I deleted my old page name back in 12/31/2010)... so that might be a very nifty way to make me jump up in numbers!

908??? UHM, that's some serious marketing skills right there ... Gonna keep a close eye on you . I'm still on 600 ... my contest seems to not have worked very well Btw! Officially contests are not allowed anymore (I'd send you the article, but I don't remember where I read it) ... just as a heads-up .. doesn't look like the FB people are really doing anything against them
Way to go with all those fans!
