I've been taking shots of my daughter's high school team and uploading them for the coaches and parents to enjoy. Here are a few. Let me know what you think, and what I can do to improve.

Here's another of our keeper in action
All of my pictures are taken with a Nikon D700 with a Sigma 70-200, 2.8.

there's a lot of missing detail. GIven you stated it's a 70-200 lens on a full frame camera, I would say the images are cropped too heavily. I like the framing of both shots but shot 1 especially has a plastic look either achieved from over-cropping or too much noise reduction. It's difficult to shot soccer with only 200mm - especially on a full-frame like the d700. My suggestions are either: be more patient for action to be close enough (good rule of thumb is if camera is in portrait orientation you want the subject filling about 2/3 of the vertical frame) or get a longer lens. You've got a good eye, but the lack of texture/detail is the biggest thing holding these images back.
