Hello....newbie here....and very new to this as i can't get this figured out...Just joined, or should say doing the trial method first. Have loaded a few pics and have been trying to set the pricing. Have emailed back an forth with support but am still not having any luck. I am following the instructions...but for some reason as an owner i can see the new pricing, but when i view as a visitor, the pricing goes back to the default. I have saved, waited several min to make sure it is saved. Also, the first time i loaded my pics, i was seeing that my pics were to small. So I reloaded to the largest that i could (1600 pixels) and it still says that they are to small. What am i doing wrong? I am getting frustrated...i work during the day, and can jump on here maybe a few times to work on this. Work will be primarily done in the evenings. I was so anxious to do this but am slowly losing hope.....Can someone help me? thanks

What says your images are too small? Min pixel size for various print sizes is here. 1600 pixels on the long side is a pretty small image - that's probably only about 1.5 megapixels when most cameras these days are at least 6MP and often 10-12MP.

Always include a link to your site when posting a question
As far as the pics go, when I go into another browser and look at the pics, click on buy, underneath the size, it says: This photo is too small to buy this item. I work in Picasa, and when i export my photos, I change the image size to the 1600 pixels. I can leave the pic the original size also. Should I do this instead??? thanks for your help. I truely appreciate it.

Once a link is available someone can help understand what is happening.
How large are the originals that you are uploading?

Am i going crazy.....i just went in and looked and my pics and i don't see where it says they are to small to buy. They mainly say, will need cropping at checkout. After adjustments are made does it usually take maybe 1-2 hrs to see the change?
Do you see anything else that I need to change, improve etc??

Some of your photos are still really tiny, and some are large enough to buy all sizes. Easiest thing to do is to delete the photos and re-upload the larger files.
You have Originals enabled. That means that no one needs to purchase your photos - they can grab them for free. See ORIGINALS = a gateway to free photos, & right click protection is NOT PROTECTION.
I would recommend showing your galleries on your homepage rather than just showing the recent photos. See http://www.smugmug.com/help/homepage-boxes.

Maybe I should delete everything. Load maybe 5 pics. Get them to where they should be and go from there. Just afraid that by the 13th day...I still won't have the knack of this yet...

Any thing else you would change, add or delete? thanks

Suggestions? You apparently didn't read the link I provided in my post earlier - your Originals are available for viewing, and that means that people can grab the full resolution photos for free.

Yes, that is what I was referring to.
I would recommend one of the larger sizes - any one smaller than Original. Medium does give you more protection, but you are severely limiting the viewing experience. Look at your gallery on a large screen monitor with the browser maximized. If you were shooting something like youth sports where people tend to grab photos then medium makes sense. But honestly, I would recommend setting the largest size to either x2 or x3 large.
