So my speedlight crapped out in the middle of this session..ugh. Therefore there are some shadows in these that I am NOT at all thrilled with. Nothing I could really do...the clients totally understood and I offered to re-shoot if they are not happy.

C&C Appreciated

i think they turned out fine without the flash. natural light is better anyway! i'm not a fan of the white balance/color tone of the first and last images, though.

Same as dsloan, I'm a fan of natural light. It looks more natural. ; )
I don't know if I have a favorite here, as I like them all about equally. Possibly #2 and #3 would have a slight edge for me. I would consider warming them up a tad on #3 though. (also #1) . That's my opinion though.

Nice work. I'm thinking they should be/are very happy with these.

Nice work. I would try to get some shots where they aren't smiling next time. The same expression in every image gets repetitive. Keep up the good work!

I think they turned out good, but mix up the expressions a bit.
Looks like you had plenty of natural light, I wouldn't think you even needed a flash.
In those situations that you need some fill light a reflector goes a long way.

    Good work!

    .

yeah, I agree. I just wanted a tad bit of fill to lose those shadows. We had a bit of a hike to get to the location. I almost brought my reflectors but figured my flash would be sufficient. Lesson learned! Thanks for the feedback!
