The sun is up and warming the brickwork and this encouraged some activity in the arachnid world.

Here is a female wolf spider on the side of the out house. I had to rotate counter-clockwise for composition purposes.

C&C as always allowed.

Ok...all these bugs are creeping my out. haha. Good photo though. You may want to try the stacking technique that everyone talks about. I think this multi-legged creature would've been a good candidate for that. :)

I don't do a lot of stacking, but have been known to on occasion. I'm just a sucker for the limited depth of field style photo... :)

    Thanks for looking Linda. thumb.gif

Good capture Paul !- seen a few of these sunbathing in the limited amount of Sun we have had but not managed to get within a couple of feet of them.
Was going to comment you might need a bit more diffusion on the flash but see that it's presumably a full sun natural light shot :)

    Morning Brian.

Yeah - full direct sunlight at about 3pm. It was the only day of the week where we had a sky not wrapped in very dark grey horizon to horizon cloud cover!

Also saw a couple of jumpers on the wheelie bin & the wall - couldn't react quick enough though really - they were far too mobile!

I like the 'limited depth of field' look the most, too, but I'm intrigued by the stacking technique. That's great that you know how to do it. I want to try it out soon just so that I know how it's done.

There is a thread about stacking at the top of the macro board here by Lord Vetinari - it's very informative.

For the most part - it only shines when I don't have time to get out in it!!! ne_nau.gif
