stretching slideshow to fill hd screen

Hopefully a simple question.

My galleries fill my Apple screen (17in Macbook pro) in slideshow mode but only show pictures as 50%? screen size) on my PC with HD monitor (landscape). So lots of black space on the pc. Both monitors have a similar aspect ratio I think.

What can I do differently so the PC experience is as good as the apple?

You are using the built-in Smugmug flash slideshow in a constrained width homepage design. If you want a flexible size slideshow that can adapt to the size of the screen, then you will need to rethink what you display on the homepage, make the whole homepage flexible width and use a different slideshow. You can find the new HTML5 stretchy slideshow here, but it can only go wider when you modify your homepage to be stretchy too (instructions for that are included with the referenced slideshow).

Thanks. I don't mind about the slideshow on the home page. What I am looking for is when a viewer looks at a gallery and then selects the slideshow mode followed by clicking "Full screen" that it actually goes and fills the screen.

If you have a large screen, it looks like the biggest image that Smugmug shows in the full screen slideshow is the X3 size (1600px on the long side). How large is your screen (in pixels)?

    Thanks again for helping.

    The display is 1920x1080

PS I just saw that a power account has a "stretchy" option. Is this what I need? My account is basic.

Sorry to bump this up - if there are no answers then there are no answers. I won't do it again

As I said in my previous post, the largest image Smugmug shows in the slideshow is the X3 size. Apparently, they do not show a full screen image larger than that. This has nothing to do with any setting or the type of account. I have a pro account and see the same behavior. It appears to be the way they built their "full screen" slideshow. I'm not aware of any way to change it.
