I've been a bit intimidated about posting shots around here; I'm trying to get over that, so...
I tried to catch the sunset last night...and basically missed it. But as a consolation I set myself up across the river Charles and stayed out longer than I had planned.
Enjoy.
Game was on at Fenway...they actually won!
Edit to say comments/critiques appreciated. Thanks.

Which brings me to the suggestions: thanks for them. My PS skills allow only the most simple of changes yet, so I might not be able to do things like selectively sharpen. But it gives me a goal to shoot for. As for the WB, I shot all these on "shade," and didn't change things post. I always shoot raw so I can go back and fix what I mess up. But it's been a lingering question for me: what white balance do you use when there is no sun?

Cool shots. Here's a pic from Boston that you can't get anymore.
It's been replaced with the Bigdig. Unfortunately, the smugmug compression does not do this picture justice. Blown up large, and in print, it stands out.

Zigzag,
Great set of shots!! I'd have to say #4 is my favorite with #3 a close 2nd. I like the difference in daylight (or lack of) and the difference in reflection level.

In RAW, you can use the eyedropper to click on a mid-tone grey and it will balance the color for you, or you can look at the color temp as shot or done with the eye dropper and find a value somewhere in between some times.
