More Camellias

The last time I posted Avery Island camellia photos, you all kindly advised me to try to have the bloom fill the frame, off center, without too many distracting leaves or especially twigs in the frame. Here is my second try. All suggestions welcome and greatly appreciated.

There was an article in The New York Times on February 2 about the camellias on Avery Island, and the ongoing efforts to identify them. I did not know there are 17,000 plus varieties of these beautiful flowers!

Lovely series of shots I think these do look better than the previous post but it's really your preference that matters !

they look much better
what apperture did you shoot? have you tried f2.8- f4 ?
flowers are just difficult to shoot

Thanks, Phil, these were shot at f8 or f11. I will try f2.8 - f4 on my next outing. I really appreciate the advice. Best, Pam
