I recently spent the day in Broome, in the Kimberley region here in Western Australia. It's a wonderful area, rich in history. Perhaps its main claim to fame is the pearling industry, which is still a big part of the economy. In the early days of the industry, divers from Japan migrated here. They've had a wonderful influence on the culture and many other aspects of Broome, including their own cemetery. This is an example of one of the headstones there. Thanks for looking.
