I had a great time at the World Bird Sanctuary last weekend. Most of the birds are there for rehabilitation.

Thanks Matt, I've been all over the internet trying to figure out
if it's a Harris's hawk or a golden eagle. I think I've settled on a
Haris's hawk, maybe young one.

The first photo is a real "model" pose. What eye contact and body language--not to mention great colors, sharpness and DOF.

Lots of birds go thru rehabilitation there. Very interesting place. Link to site.

Wow! Really sharp shots. Lizard Buzzards are fairly common in Africa, but looking at the color of that one's eye, it looks as though he may be blind

Love the 828. Are you "pulling the trigger" or squeezing it? I have a tendency of punching the shutter
if I'm not careful and the whole camera will move. The button travel is only so far and when it
bottoms out you're pushing the camera.
I was lucky on the first one, handheld indoors at 1/15s f2.8 180mm.
