Snow!
Well I've been cramming in as much climbing as possible this week before it's too late. Me and Richard headed out to the Lane Hut for a night of hiking around and bouldering. A little too cold and wet to do our planned route, but we had fun wrestling the pebbles. I threw out the first snowball of the season... did anyone beat me?
Richard tops out over Lane Valley.
Richard again, working a cool start to a boulder.
Hot chocolate in the morning, it snowed some overnight.
So we wandered up the hill to get the first snow shot of the season. Me on the right.

Lane Hut is a classic looking place. The composition on this is great. And
the the second bouldering shot is nice too.
A fuller view of Lane, perhaps in B&W, would be a treat. Oh, and nice
'turf on the front step
Thanks for a little bit of AK.

Every time you post it makes me feel like booking a flight to Alaska

The hut is just up the hill a little bit to the right of the snowy portion of creek in the lower right. Can't see it at all, it'll be just one or two pixels at this distance. This is looking back down Lane Valley toward Archangel Valley in the background, and off in the distance, the much larger Mat-Su Valley, where I reside.
Thanks again for the comments all, the friendly nature of this site is what makes me love it so much. I appreciate them!

I don't climb, afraid of heights and the sudden deceleration trauma associated with not climbing properly
Definitely no snow here in Atlanta.
Your view of Alaska completely blows away what I saw from a cruise ship. Amazing area, can't go wrong photographing any part of Alaska in my opinion.
