After years of point and shoot, I bought a 40D from my niece, and bought a 28-135 lens. Our bassett/lab cross loves to run, and I always wanted to capture the sheer joy on her face when she's chasing or being chased, but the point and shoot was never up to the task, so I was looking forward to using the 40D. I was pretty happy with my first try, but always looking for ways to improve. I figured for first attempt I'd leave it on the sports setting with high speed continuous shooting.
