Today was my first day with the new Nikkor 85mm F1.4. I am certain this will be a great producer for me already. I didn't spend as much time with it as I wanted (tomorrow is another day of course). My poor son had to put up with me a lot but he got a new Sponge Bob DVD out of the deal. Anyway, I have a lot to learn with this piece of glass!! Ya'll go ahead and let me have it.

Beautiful. The picture seems a bit grainy, but that isn't from your nice, new lens I'm sure. After staring at it for a while I realised what it needs- contrast! Try +25 in Photoshop. It really makes a tremendous difference.

Your son has dramatic eyes-- just thought I'd mention that.

    Owen,

Thanks. Here is a comparison with what I had posted alongside a +25 contrast. I can definitely see what you are saying. I had a UV/Protector filter on front when I took this shot. Could this have affected it somehow? Thanks again all.
