Spooky HDR

Had a weird weather night, with fog, hail, lightening... the church a few blocks away was looming in the fog and I thought it would be a cool chance to dive into HDR (5 exposures). I did add a gradient and lowered the exposure a bit more in LR.

Nice and moody. I think it would look better if the image was sharper. A tripod is pretty much a neccessity for something like this.

I was disappointed with the sharpness also, I was on a tripod but I think my building was actually shaking during this storm. Some of the exposures were 20 to 30 seconds.

Like it. I think the softness adds to the ghostly factor and effect.

Thanks HDR, it's growing on me, the more I look at it.

Nice image. Artistically speaking, I would probably prefer it to be a little sharper but it does have a unique "ghostly" glow to the image. I absolutely love that you got out with the camera during that bad weather and did something creative instead of sitting on your butt like me. Bravo.

I agree it's very moody and even ghostly. The blue/greenish lighting has a nice effect in this photo.

Interesting. Maybe soft. Kinda maybe. Nice effort at it. Respect that work.

Nice, I don't mind the softness. Like others I think it adds to the shot, I find sometimes our brains tell us edges should be sharp and try to convince us it's wrong if they are not, but this shot works for me.
