I use ProShow for slideshows on DVD, but I've generally avoided ProShow for the web because it required proprietary plug-ins which all viewers had to download and install before they could see the slideshow. When you ask ProShow to push a slideshow back to smugmug, does it require their proprietary plug-in?

Never mind. It looks like they generate HD video which presumably would not need their plug-in, but would need the bandwidth to play HD video and an appropriate HD video player in your browser.

Or hey, you could play one of the smaller sizes that SmugMug automagically makes for you once you put that cool ProShow back onto your Smug site :jfriend

I gave this a try but wasn't very pleased with the experience. You can create a free slideshow with up to 15 images, so I selected 15 from one of my galleries. 12 of them uploaded properly, but then it froze and would not import the final 3. I aborted this and tried to build something with just the 12 images that transferred. I then selected a music file on my machine. It seemed to upload, but hung while displaying a "Finishing" message toward the end. At this point it completely froze my entire browser (Chrome dev channel), and I got a message about an error with the Flash plugin. I don't know, maybe folks have better luck with other browsers, but my experience wasn't very positive.

Sorry to hear! We'll report to proshow, about Google Chrome dev channel. Maybe try with Firefox - I've made dozens of slideshows with nary a hitch....
