I like the door in color. Shows all concrete with interest. Nice shots.

Nice shots! I like the window. The barbed wire is a nice contrast.

Door in color! Of course the window is cool too....(My problem is that doors and windows are my favorite subjects....)

My vote is for the window, with the door in color as a close second.

My vote is for the window. From a purely theme standpoint, the colored door shot is a little stronger, but the window is compositionally stronger and more visually appealing, IMHO. The color, lighting, and different textures keep the shot quite interesting. Nice work.

another vote for the window. great colors, the bent frame, the wire... it's just a great image, imho.

oh, and welcome to the challenges! and, now that you've posted once, you've probably realized it's not that painful and will do so again, soon.

I love the window, but the door shot places more focus on the concrete. In the window shot, I tend to look through it. Color is definitely better!

    Welcome, Todd!

Two great choices. Definitely color - it is so rich.

I think the door is more about concrete than the window. And I think you could enter either one.

I really like the door in color for this theme. The window is definitely interesting but my eyes tend to focus on the barbed wire (and its shadow) and the wood framing within. Welcome to dgrin and its challenges!

Hope you're reading your thread Todd - It looks like you added 2 entries to the contest - only 1 per person is allowed. You can log into the contest page and change the description to Please Delete on the one you don't want.

FWIW: Personally, I like the window.

    Good luck.

The window seems more interesting to me - the barbed wire makes it kinda funky (a good kind of funky - not weird, just different!!). Also love the colors! Although I wonder if cropping a little from the right would improve the composition, so the window isn't quite so centered?
