Rusty Trunk. I can see why the fascination and drool comes forth when rust appears. Here is some more rust/color for you.

The subject matter is optimal, the treatment is understated, which means all of us Rust Junkies will be screaming

"Push it! More Saturation! Over sharpen it!"

Great subject. Don's right....we Rust Junkies are hollering for more saturation and sharpening. Nothing approaching reality will work for us.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Whoa, Okay you asked for it. Here is some double Sat and double Sharp.
I pushed all the sliders to the right, saved the image and did it again.
Had to back off some of them and punch some others because to much color just melded together.

Here ya go, as seen through the eyes of the 'Who's" 'Acid Queen', how's this?

Nice, but, personally, I would pull the reds towards the orange of rust and de-sat the blue, a tad! But that's just me! :D

Check out this rust gallery, for what I usually go for, especially in the newer stuff! thumb.gif

Don, It was a bit beyond my taste too.
I thought there might be a boundary around here somewhere.

I'm going to take another run at it.

Is there a support group for Lightroom addicts? rolleyes1.gif
Does anyone have issues with their spouse because of this software?
    I haven't yet...ne_nau.gif

Alright, I've got one more flavor and finished with this one for awhile until some interior decorator wants a certain hue.

Now we're rocking. Version #3 is spot on. Great treatment. clap.gif I extend to you an official invitation to join the Rust Junkies. Our little group has a lot of fun and we hope that our work, collectively, will inspire others of our forum to explore the wonders of rust.

Welcome to a seat at the big table,

    Thanks Don!
I'm having much more fun working on rust in this manner than lying under a rusty old vehicle fixing something and having the rust fall in my eyes.

I'll check out the forum, thanks for the tips and suggestions on rust tweaking.

Wow, glad you guys like it. Thanks Tom!
There are so many variations and paths to the right look, then having a little confidence that you finally know it when you see it.

I appreciate the honor and invitation to the group. :D:D
I took a sudden stop at large junk and antique store on Monday, so shot quite a few subjects and will put them up as I can get them processed.

This community has been a big help so far and hope I can pass on some knowledge too.

I like the last one, the reds and oranges make it pop, but the blues dont look natural, maybe they should be more of a light turquoise color? I think turquoise with rust is the most pleasing of all the rust photos I see

Tooling matters in the details. When you can find it. Not such an easy
bug to nab. Dang it. If only it was. headscratch.gifmwink.gif Nice to see this one. Thx.

I like the last version. I think that trunk still has a lot more pics in it, do you have more?
