Allow register for Favorites

Is smugmug ever going to allow visitors to register to collect favorites on albums that are not part of an event?

I know that if I create an event visitors can visit the event page and register to collect favorites of that event but I would like visitor to register on my site and be able to collect favorites of any album.

I believe that is how it works with Exposure Manager.:scratch

I'd also look to this - events just don't make sense for me, but favorites would be huge. I left EM for SM - but this is something I do miss.
