The Turkey

Looked out my back window and spotted three turkeys feeding under the bird feeder. Connecticut is full of turkeys feasting on acorns most of the year so they are very common - but ugly. Ben Franklin nominated the turkey for the American symbol glad the Bald Eagle won that race.

They are not that ugly. They have some of the most beautiful feather iridescent coloring. But you need good lighting to bring it out.
