Sam, it's her new fangled laser range finder that can also zap an assistant that isn't listening to her. Just sayin.

Although it also goes by the name, Canon STE-2 for firing off camera flash.:D

Great photos both of you. Gotta love "photographer in action" shots. Nice post.

I mostly do... :) You know how it is. I am not sure if the perfect bag has been invented, but it is really handy for quick lens changes and has 6 sleeves. I usually carry 2 lenses and a flash in there, and then for weddings, in the back compartments I have schedules, drop cloth for the bride's gown, kleenex and a lint roller. I sometimes feel like a pack animal, but at least I have a stylish saddlebag, haha. I keep my memory cards in the black rapids strap. :)

Actually I got it used from someone here on dgrin! :) I can't remember who, though.

Yes, it is the STE2, and I use it outside aaaalll the time. Just make sure that you have line of sight with the sensors. I don't think I used it much that day until later, but I always have it on camera so I have it when I need it. Though I see radio poppers or pocket wizards in my future before the next wedding season hits full steam.

Thanks for the nice comments. Shooting with Heather was easy peasy and I can't wait until next time!

And she is a good salesman for BlackRapid...after seeing her shoot with hers and how nice it worked I ordered one. WOO! Having the 20-200 2.8 IS II around my neck wore me out so I can't wait. I don't think I would look very masculine with that Shootsac thing though...so that isn't happening!

I think Heather mostly uses shoot through umbrella's which helps with line of site. I tried mine outside a few times and then went right to pw's.

Heather have you tried the ThinkTank Wideload? I LOVE mine. Works with a waist-belt system and is unpadded so not bulky. Looks like you guys had some fun!!! Those are really good pics of you Heather. You look best when not posing! Although I find that true with anyone...

I have a fortune's worth of camera bags sitting here on the shelf, haha. (I have tried a lot of things) I have the lowepro waist belt one, but it is just too much to have strapped to my waist since I'm a very curvy girl. Wow. TMI. I also love to be able to set it down if I need to without taking a belt off, haha.

Yep, Mike got some really good candid pics. iloveyou.gif It is nice to have some for a change. People always assume that if I am there, there is no need for anyone else to take photos, therefore I have almost none of me that I haven't taken myself. So thanks to Mike! :saurora

Really fun looking shots. Remind me not to show the shots to my wife again, apparently I am now saving up my frequent flier miles for a flight to Alaska. :)

You say that like you don't want to come to Alaska. You should KEEP showing her shots so she stays motivate to get up here. This place is AMAZING.

    For real. clap.gif
