Took a drive up Mount Lemmon today, and discovered these guys at about 9000 ft. A couple of serious birders were baiting them with peanuts :barb

Thanks much, Harry. The two birders next to me both had 500s on Gitzos and Wimberleys with Better Beamers. They were stuck in their chairs while I was pretty nimble with my hand held 420 (and a BB). These guys were very quick.

Great set! Funny, I was traveling the coast of CA last week and saw my first Steller Jays, neat birds! I hope my shots turn out half as well. We don't have those on the east coast as far as I know.

Loved seeing these images. Beautiful birds and the sky looks amazing.

Nice to know my new 7D will serve me well for wildlife and the better beamer I thought I needed but didn't know exactly what for...lol
