Interesting shot -- interesting processing. My eye tends to start on the bright spot on the right side and then it moves down to the boat. I can't help but wonder where that boat is going next. Sorry, but my personal opinion is that the tower detracts from the shot rather than adding to it. Having been to Paris, I can sympathize with how hard it can be to get the whole tower in a shot. I also have to give you props for giving us a completely different view from the classic Eiffel Tower view. But the placement of the tower in this composition just doesn't fit in my opinion. Perhaps something that showed more of the boat from a lower angle that had the tower more in the background....

Thanks Karl! This was taken from the sidewalk above the river. The gate down to the pier was locked, so I couldn't get down any more =(
