Trying to branch out and work on more 'street' shots. I liked this one from last week, what do you think?

I like it too. I'm not too sure about the foot on the right. At first, it seemed like a distraction, but today it seemed almost comical. Dunno. headscratch.gif

I think it's very cool. Seems to me the fellow on the right would like to be in the shoes (rolleyes1.gif) of the fellow on the left who would rather not be bothered by the rather forward woman in the middle. mwink.gif

Me too. For me, the main subject is the interaction between the legs and feet of the two sitting together, and that foot on the right distracts from that.

OK, that said, I just went back to the photo, looked again, and smiled when I saw that foot kind of intruding on the scene. So, I'll leave it to someone smarter than me to figure out which version, if any, is best. ;-)

I'd keep the extra foot in. It makes the picture for me.

    completely in agreement.
If the extra foot had eyeballs it would be leering at the boots.
Like Richard I find humor in it--reminds me of a bar scene.

    BTW--really like the shot.

Thanks for the comments, funny thing is the two on the left were indeed a couple. Married from the looks of it too. I thought by cropping their upper bodies out it created confusion in the scene which it apparently did.

I like the comments about the extra foot too, ultimately deciding to keep it in is a good thing I think.

I like the picture! the only thing that catches me is what looks like a little bit of motion blur in the feet, not much, but enough to catch my attention... I don't know what settings you were shooting at, but if there was anyway you could have gotten a higher shutter speed, I think it would have paid off...

    overall Great job!

Yep, I agree. It was handheld at night when the train was in motion with my Sigma DP1s which doesn't have the best ISO performance and a f/4 lens. Wish I had one of my SLRs instead, but you gotta do what you gotta do :)

Keep the foot - good subway shot. Definitely. I will say I don't really get the title, as I definitely see the couple as a couple. But you were there and know better. Also - lose the watermark. Please. Please. That's is the distraction - not the foot.

Very nice shot. Works for me. Interesting - wife wears nice boots & stocking, husband mephistos (or whatever brand that is 'comfortable but not fashionable'. I agree on the watermark - very distracting.

Thanks again for the comments, really appreciate all of them! The watermark was a product of an earlier posting and I am too lazy to ditch it now :) Next time though, no watermarks here I promise.

I love this shot - it's amazing how elequent lower-body language can be, perhaps all the more so because it's the part we pay least attention to!
