As at least one SmugMugger was claimed by the earthquake (see this thread), I thought I would pass this on for folks who are interested and have the time.
The Christchurch Recovery Map project is seeking volunteers from all around the world to help with data management for the recovery effort.
It looks to be pretty easy, and something most anyone can do from the comfort of their home or workplace. They are looking for international volunteers to help with NZ-time night shifts. The work includes filtering, de-duping, and recording data related to the recovery effort.
Since it is a crowd-sourced effort, the amount of work shouldn't be too overwhelming for any one volunteer. The work itself looks pretty easy for anyone who is computer-savvy enough to use this forum.

Take a look, see if you can help.
I've volunteered-who's with me? :thumb
