Just joined today, and hoping someone can help with this one!

Why is it you get swirls in certain clothing, and how can this be avoided???

Cheers,

Please post examples of what you mean.

Are you talking about moire patterns from certain fabrics?

Bet the ranch. Sometimes it's a monitor issue that magically disappears with a different zoom. Sometimes it's a result of the bayer (sp) pattern in the sensor interacting with the pattern in the fabric. If that's the case, you're toast. Sometimes when comparing two photos of the same fabric taken at nearly the same time, one will show the moire and one won't. I think that's due to a subtle tilting of the camera between shots. ne_nau.gif

I don't understand how it appears, but I know that in the early days of television, talking heads were told to NEVER wear houndstooth patterned clothing in order to avoid the problem.
