But...so sadly, a little bit back, our beloved 11.5-year-old Dachshund Opus died of kidney failure quite unexpectedly. Realizing how much we were moping around, we decided to jump right back in, and did so two Dachshund pups - a 12 week old now named Banjo - well, registered as B. D.'s Frailing Banjo of Monmouth - and an eight-week-old female named Eloise. Eloise clearly is going to end up as what she is supposed to be - mini. Banjo, however, has feet suggesting he is going to look more like a Golden Retriever whose mother got a hold of a bottle of Thalidomide than he is a miniature Dachshund. Okay, I exaggerate - but he's clearly headed toward being a small standard.

And I'm sure that Eloise and Banjo would think that Mr. Monty and Mr. Tumble are damn cute too. :-)

    Sorry and glad
So sorry to read about Opus, and my sincere condolences. We lost our beloved Gracie at 7 years of age because of kidney failure. That was three years ago, and it still hurts to this day, even though we had two more shelter dogs looking after us.

Very happy for the new additions to the family. Enjoy them, as I know you will.
    Regards,
    AZFred

I just love their soulful eyes. Eloise and Banjo will be quite the dynamic duo.

I'm sure that Opus is smiling down on all of you from doggy heaven.

Sorry to hear about the loss...

Wonderful captures of the two new additions. Looks like you'll have a great time sharing your love with these two cuties. From your description, the third shot captures their personalities perfectly.

My condolences -- losing a family member is a hard thing to go through.

Your new additions .. they are beautiful. 2 at one time ... that's a handful. I had thoughts of bringing in 2 at one time. You are much more courageous then I :D
