Shot this aerial view of the Hoover Dam and the new bridge over the Colorado River yesterday. Lots of concrete here. :nod

Very nice - can't say that I've ever seen it from that angle - gorgeous!

:D when the challenge started I wondered if anyone would be able to get the Hoover Dam. It was one of my first thoughts... but I never dreamed it would look like that. Nice shot... how cool to be able to get one from the air.

Thanks, everybody!! As to how I got the angle, meet my friend Charlie. :D

Here's a wider-angle shot. It's even better to get an idea of the terrain, but not as much focus on "concrete" I don't think. headscratch.gif

When this heme was announced I thought about how I could justify a trip down that way. But then I got thrown into the Mega so it got me of the hook.
Great shots Joel great way to see it.

    And hi, Charlie!
Even my husband said "I wonder if anyone will have a picture of the Hoover Dam?"

I'm sorry you missed it, too. It would have gotten a vote from me.

It really would make a great shot for this new challenge, too. Unfortunately, you'll have to get your friend to take you up again so you can get a shot with the correct date.

I think maybe you did not understand that you needed to post it in the gallery. Instructions and link are in the sticky for each challenge.

Too bad, because it is a great photo and would have done well.clap.gif

Thanks, folks! I did discover from a previous comment I needed to post it in the gallery. I was waiting to get some comments on which shot I should submit, and like an idiot totally missed the deadline. My fault entirely. nod.gif

I'm glad you all liked the shot, and that's good enough for me! :D

    Cheers!

Oh, I hadn't seen the subject of the next round until you mentioned it. That is amusing. :giggle

Sure, I'll just give old Charlie another jingle and he'll be glad to take me out, assuming I pay for gas again. :wow
