Zach, My suggestion would be to make the Coke in the glass more appealing. Lots of condensation on the glass. Fizz on top if possible. I porpably would have more Ice in the glass. I think block ice that is clear might bemfore visually appealing than ice cubes.

Alright thanks for the reply I will have to try that later this week, I agree with you that the coke does not really stand out/look that appealing.

If you intend to have the bottle next to the glass, you might consider leaving the cap off as if it has just been poured. Or... any way you could take a pic while it is being poured into the glass? (action sells)

I was thinking very similar for the coke in glass. Also, Perhaps spend all your attention on just the two parts to the right in frame.
This will allow for a strong sharp close up accentuating the condensation, chilly ice, and inviting bubbly effervescence.
Also comes to mind that by doing just a close composition close-up of glass and bottle there is less to zero need for some possible enhancing background elements beyond what your aiming for here.
I like the slight down angle on the glass and bottle as it adds depth for me.
I also agree with the point about the cap being off and left placed in the shot. Action does sell.

For the 2nd shot I find the strong vertical light reflections on the candle jar a distraction. I think it would be nice to get most of that out so we can better see the label and color of the wax clearly throughout.
The 3 tea lights at right are not quite as neatly represented as on the left side.
Nice lighting and color for both pictures in the effort.

Ok I am going to try those ideas one quick question though would you have the hand in the shot poring it or rig it up with fishing line and photoshop it out?
