Feature Request - Insert Smug Gallery Code into Existing Website?

I've tried searching the forum for this, so I apologize if it has been posted or even beaten to death already (if so, maybe I was searching for the wrong keywords). I gave up several months ago on trying to create a seamless interface between my website and SmugMug gallery. I've recently switched to a new theme from Photocrati for my website which is running on WordPress. Photocrati now has a built in e-commerce function with shopping cart that blends perfectly into the existing site, but loses some professionalism with the use of a PayPal checkout.
On Kelbytraining, RC Concepcion has posted a new tutorial on using Fotomoto, which simply inserts code into your existing website, therefore a seamless result. Google Docs, formlogix, various other CMS plugins, shopping cart scripts, etc out there rely simply on inserting code into your webpage. Tools like these help build functionality into your website, not provide a standalone application. Is this not possible with SmugMug?
Several months ago I also tried searching for WordPress/SmugMug integration. Leo LaPorte seems to have accomplished this, but few others have. If my page links change, I don't want to have to change them in two locations. At a minimum, is there no way to allow a WordPress PHP header to display on SmugMug pages? I'm not looking for anything fancy from my photo galleries, just simple, easy to use functionality (both on the back and front ends) for a cohesive result.
Thanks,
Kevin

A non-cost approach will be to do a lot of searches in the wordpress communities as well as here. Depending on what you are trying to implement, it may be as easy as using an rss feed reader widget on the wordpress side.
