How happy will I be with this? So far ive read that its a good bang for the buck. I'm mostly a hobbyist... I shoot my kids a lot and second shoot weddings occasionally. Anyone have some shots you can share with this lens?

Also ordered a nikon 35 1.8. I LOVE my 50 but needed a little wider. If you have example shots with that too feel free to post

I absolutely love mine! I found 18-55mm to be entirely too short and restricting, even in a small room. It was my kit lens and first DSLR (canon). The 28-75 is a much better range for me. Its sharp wide open and the constant Ap is great (this is the lens that made me covet fast glass). Just about every review you find will say that it is one of the sharpest lenses for crop bodies (FF not so good). Some reviewers say that it is an awkward range for a crop sensor but I prefer the longer reach. After shooting with it and seeing what quality glass looks like, I don't even bother with my kit lens. I have the 18-55 kit lens, a 50 1.8, the 28-75, and the 70-200 f4L. The Tamron stays on my camera 60%, the 50 30%, and the others get pulled out the rest of the time. Most importantly, it is sharp wide open throughout the range. I will say this, it is not an ultrasonic motor so it can be a bit slow to focus in low light, but after you have it for a while you'll learn its tendencies in situations. It is without a doubt worth every inexpensive penny you will pay for it. Amazing bang for the buck!!
