Peter Katz, Live in Concert at Holy Joe's for Toronto Indy Music Week.

Again, I didn't put any of those photos through an unsharp mask or anything so they look a bit softer than they do at full size.

Enjoy: http://framebyframe.ca/storage/photos/20050923/

http://www.peterkatz.com if you want to hear his music...

Lemme know which ones you love most, or if there's one that you think better represents the collection than the one I picked at the top...

(I grabbed a taxi 5 mins before the concert, hauled my butt out there, rushed in, told them I was peter katz' photographer, and they slapped a wristband on me. It was awesome.)

Holy Joe's is mostly a sitting-down kinda intimate venue... me and ben were the only 2 people singing/dancing/bopping-along...

    Hi Scott,
Nice series, looks like challenging lighting for photography. My fav of these is #5, where the female singer is looking at (I assume) Peter. The expression of hers stikes me even though she is not the subject. The photo works for me.

    Thanks for the series,
    Chris

A picture is but words to the eyes.
    Comments are always welcome.

    Thanks for looking Chris!

Yeah, of the venues i'm used to shooting him in, this one is definitely the dimmest. I'm happy with the photos of Drew (violinist) though, and now that I look at it, I caught some of peter's expressions (his face is *very* expressive when he plays) that I didn't last time.
