It just looks wrong -

Seems like it should be biting me - but its a small Crane Fly eating nectar. For referance, the flower is about the size of my finger tip.

That is a cool-looking insect. The contrast of his dark coloring against the yellow flower is perfect, too. Great pics!

They get pretty big, but they are slow so you can really just shoo it away.
