Tater looks like she has a good bit of 'rounder in her. Makes her a good fit for you, hoss.

    Take care,

    Tom

Thanks! I was going through Tater-withdrawal.

I just love the look on her face in the first photo, that gaze is so intense.

She is TOO cute! Great shots. Definitely - a before and after comparison will be required. Hello "benji" dog.

Nice series, Randy. SHe is such a great subject, so expressive and carefree . . . until that last one. That looks like she'd just gotten the news about the visit to the groomer! I'd never had dogs who needed grooming (other than hose bath) until we got Josie. She came home from her first haircut and I was shocked! I called the vet and said "I sent you a shaggy dog Josie and you sent me back a Schnauzer!" It was more traumatic for me than for the dog--she loved the cooler feeling in hot weather. Now we've reached a happy compromise on how much to cut and we're all happy. I hope Tater does great with her haircut . . . and mama and daddy too! Be sure to post some pics!

Cute pics. Chloe looked at the photos and then looked at me as if to say, "Don't even think about it, I don't play fetch"

    Bingo!!!

I was out-of-town when she got back from the groomer. I'm pretty sure I'm in some level of shock eek7.gif No way would I think this was my same dog...

My wife tells me that it's not the end of the world, that her hair WILL grow back. I don't mind the short hair on the body, but they should have stopped there!

Tater seems to be enjoying the cooler cut, as she is a little hot-box. She loved being out in the snow, but as the temps even climbed into the low 70's she was panting and finding the coolest place to lay.

I guess all will turn out OK, I'm like you were though, a bit in shock!

BTW, this is also our first dog to ever get groomed.

    Thanks for the comments Lauren!

    I can't stop laughing. rolleyes1.gif

When I said that Tater looks to be a bit of a 'rounder, I was refering to her personality....not her girth.:D A 'rounder is one who has a bit of a wild streak to them, someone who knows the secrets of having a good time. They've generally " been around " the adventuresome side of life and are therefore known as " 'rounders ". Fact is, I've been called one myself. I look on it as a badge of honor.

The groomer is scared of me now . . . once I didn't like the first cut, now he always makes sure I am happy with it. And we usually talk beforehand so I can set limits. Apart from the cut, this guy is terrific--my dogs are cleaner and fluffier and smell good once he's finished.

You'll get past the trauma, Randy. And just a couple more rides on the bike or in your truck and you'll fall in love with your "new" pup just as much as the first time!

    Any after pics yet?

Hope the little thing doesn't get a complex! As we've both agreed, it's more traumatic on us than the dogs. Oh, wait, that's it--YOU are afraid to be seen in public with her. She is probably wondering what she's done wrong that you don't take her out anymore.......awww, poor widdle Tater Tot. :cry
