I wasn't sure if the lighting in the first one is too funky, so I made a b/w version.

Thanks for your help!

The lighting and color are a bit sketchy in the first one, but the b&w conversion looks really nice. Might want to lighten the "racoon eye" shadows under the eyes, but otherwise it looks great to me.

Don't worry. I can fix you in photoshop.

Surfdog, thank you for your help! Just have one question: can you explain what is sketchy in the first one? Do you mean the color of the light is off or the lighting patterns, etc?

I adore the first one, love the color. I like how it seems to go from purple on the right to peachy in the middle and green on the left. Also the shadows in the B&W seem harder and less flattering. Color 100%, B&W 0 %, inmho.
Also looks more artsy. LOVE the color!!!

I also prefer the first one in color. The color tone of it works very well for me.

I like the color also. My eye kind of gets lost in the dress in the black and white.

Color for me, too. The processing fits her.

Wow, am I in the minoriy! eek7.gif It's not that I don't like the color in the first one, it's just that to me it looks like you had several different types of light sources going on all at once, so you are getting mixtures of blue, red, & yellow skin tones. To me the b&w version accentuates your subject's striking facial features, and makes her eyes and lips really pop.

Thanks for the help, guys! It tells me I should post up both versions in their gallery when I'm done processing the wedding. Let *them* decide lol.

Geez, this one is a hard choice to make. I like both photos.

But the color one, gives me a warm, lovely, pure feeling... so I will have to go with the color one...
