I had the same idea for this contest using my roommate's dog, but it's a hyperactive maltese that's 8 inches off the ground anyways so it's probably more trouble than it's worth.
I like this one but did you try it at a smaller aperture? I think it might look better if you could get the dog's eyes in focus too.

Love the shot! Nice take on the theme. I know you've already entered it. My only suggestion would be to clone out the one long whisker on the right (IMHO).

I think the dog could be looking down at you and would still be "Under my Nose". Love Dog shots. Looks Good.

Thanks for the input all. I didn't notice the whisker as well, but my apathy may get the best of me for cloning it out :):.

I have a few exposures with more DoF, but for some reason, they just aren't working for me. The dog is also getting really annoyed with cameras as well (bought my wife an E-PL1 for her birthday rolleyes1.gif).

No problem! If she's anything like my dog, just bust open a new box of treats and she'll stay there for hours. mwink.gif

Hmmm, after reading the manual for my hyperactive lab...

*Introduction of treats may induce destructive tail wagging, drooling, jumping and going through every trick in the dog's repertoire until treat is awarded*
