    Uh - yes. But it was my Dad's before that. I played with it when I re-learned how to walk after having polio when I was 3.

    When I was 5 I was really sick the doctor thought I had polio.....That was a long time ago, back when doctors made house calls...

    I remember toys like that out on the farm. Not my parents farm nor my toy. Loved the noise it made.

    My Mom had polio. She tells many stories how her Mom walked to the hospital every day to see her, but had to stand at the door way since they wouldn't let her enter the room.

    True. I was 3 but I remember being in the isolation ward and seeing my parents through a big window - but they weren't allowed in. The biggest trauma (other than being paralyzed for a year) was having my 'bunny' burned in the fumigation process. The wooden duckies were able to be cleaned.

    Sorry to hear about your 'bunny'. I know how attached we can get to our favorite 'toy'.
