Understand the idea of this competition is to get the perspective of being above or underneath - so have tried to get this view, in both of these photos from underneath.

To get impression of the grass towering above, have kept as simple as possible, with just plain blue sky.

#2 Autumn Colours (1)

#3 Autumn Colours (2)

While tend not to get autumn colours in the area I live, do have one tree that changes colour, and have tried to capture it from below, with the sun shining through the leaves, to accentuate the colour.
dof is quite small, and not sure if better with the front or rear leaves more in focus. Comments be appreciated.

:) I was wishing it was autumn for this challenge!!
I like the autumn leaves, but do wish all the autumn ones were in focus while leaving your background as it.

I like #3. The leaves do not strike the theme strongly for me though.

#3 is the strongest of the bunch. Nice colors.

I'm going to go against the grain and say I like #1. I like the idea (an ant's view) even better. I think a few more stalks in the image ans some more depth of field (to get all of it in focus) might do the trick. Just a little extra to put the viewer in the perspective of the ant. I really like how the green stands out against the blue.

I have to agree with silversx80 on this one, I like the color of the green and blue and also like the warmth on the green from the sun...

Thank you for the comments. Had gone for the top of the grass out of focus, to try to give impression of height. If get the chance, will try reshooting with more grass in the picture/all in focus.

Had chance to reshoot today - got more grass, etc into the picture and increased the aperture to get better depth of field. Not sure if better with the thicker grass at the base (being more what an ant would see) or less cluttered. Comments be appreciated.

I like the second one of the last two you posted. I like the less cluttered look around the bottom and also like the entire stalk in focus.

Very cool, I like 'em both. I like the first because it really puts you in the ant's perspective with the clutter at the bottom. I like the second because of less clutter, however. Tough choice, but I think they both work well.
